I looked over the rules, And as far as I am able to decern, I broke none of them. It also states that a warning would be given, yet I got none from mod or admin, the name of my character should matter not when it comes to the chat, how my profile is set would matter more, but I did not have anything in there that would be considered illegal from what I could tell. Would you ban someone for no reason without giving any choice to avoid it? I do not go around spamming, I do not flame users. I stick to myself and speak with a select few without causing insident amongs many within the chat. How is it fare to remove one without even warning them? Would that not be a way of removing those you wish to keep?
Aside looking and advertising for, to put it bluntly, volunteers to be devoured in the midst of sex, no, I guess you hadn't done anything else wrong. -G P.S. Joe? Be constructive of shush. |

However Rook is it not supposed to be warned before a kick or a ban? That's how it was always done in the past if you were breaking a rule then you would be alerted and told to change whatever it was you were doing or you would be banned. Now I'm not aware of all the facts I know and the mere fact of what he was looking for disturbs me but I'm actually just curious if I am misinformed here.

2. Profiles may not knowingly contain links to pornography or otherwise sexually explicit materials. Profile pictures CANNOT show bared crotches or genitalia for males or females, and it cannot show female nipples. Such pictures, or profile text, depicting such a scene will be considered Advertising for Cybersex and is extremely frowned upon. An Admin or Moderator will request the picture or profile to be edited, or possibly removed, dependent upon content. If the User refuses, the Administration (Admin and Mods alike) will /kick or /ban dependent upon repeated offenses/level of transgression. THat is the rule as it stands. I did not know that my characters given name would be a problem. If it was, I would have chosen a different name and avoided open conversation with others about it. I had not openly violated any rule as of what I understood, thus an instant ban was uncalled for. Infact at the time I got banned I was roleplaying in a private room where none would be able to be offended by the name. Inn regards to you saying this "volunteers to be devoured in the midst of sex," there was nothing in my profile stating anything of the such. I stated that a Voraphile finds pleasure in the thought of eating someone or being eaten alive. No where in it did it state anything other then that. I know there are people who state they gain pleasure in ripping someone apart, as well as more grotesque things. Mine was more simple minded but as far as the rules are concerned, I kept to them by all but the name of the character which infact is Voraphile. |

Look. You don't have any 'rights' to role play on this server that the mods graciously volunteer their time to operate and maintain. You might if you donated and help kept the server running, but until then It's an online chat room. You got banned. You, like the rest of us, have no 'right' to play here.

Going into a room to post something such as you did at one specific person counts as both harassment and, in a pinch, the posting of sexual material in a public room. You were banned because the animosity between those two rooms is one I'm sick of dealing with, and you made the mistake of doing something worth a ban. No change in rules was involved.

I was online yesterday night in the OOC room, and without warning I was banished from the room. I have no idea what I have done wrong to deserve the ban. I fear this maybe have been a hideous misunderstanding where I was mistaken for someone else, or my name was hacked. I would really appreciate some answers.

I'm new to these forums but not to tK. I've been playing here often and my husband and I share the same computer. I guess him and SSS had a heated discussion? And since we have both been banned.
I understand a small ban, but why must I be banned for something I had absolutely no involvement in?

Honestly, from what my husband told me of the discussion, it sounds as though there was an abuse of power. And because I have not been able to get on, I haven't been able to ask why we've been banned for such a long time. I think it's been two days. Will this be permanent?
Also...I understand that this is a site that we don't have rights to. I would donate if I could but as it stands now I am broke. Borrowed internet ^.^
Anyway, I was just hoping that this could be resolved. I won't have much to do when my husband goes off to Basic Training in a few weeks. And I do enjoy this site.

Your husband posted from 4chan's porn board. This is not something we tolerate, understandably. The whole 'It wasn't me, it was my brother/husband/son/evil twin' thing is, while unfortunate, unavoidable, otherwise everyone and their mother who've been banned would sprout timely family ties and therefore avoid all repercussions for their lapses of judgment.

The mods don't need to give warnings more so for dropped porn. Depending on whats been done they can ban instantly without warning or even saying anything most people are supposed to know common sense, like not dropping porn links in a Pg-13 site. While it's unfortunate your being punished for someone elses stupidity theres not a lot you can do about it. As for time I would imagine it depends on what the picture was. |

He posted a link to 4chan's porn image page. It's rather self explanatory. As for why he didn't get a warning, this wasn't a case of him not knowing the rules, he said before he posted the link that he'd get in trouble for it.
He did. Unfortunately, you suffer for it. Any other issues you have with it can be taken up with him.

You are aware that the moderators ban via IP's and in all likely hood tied you to this Fenix person via your IP, thus while you can flail all you like but unless the mod who banned you repeals and says "Oh I was wrong" which I have personally never seen happen or heard of happening I would say yer outta luck! |

I very recently only today had this same problem. I had made a character by the name of Fenix in love of the character "Fenix" from starcraft. I, like this person, did not know about this names history until it was too late. I have never done anything bad to The Keep, I have always respected the mods, I love to Rp and I have always been nice to people. This is so wrong, all I want is to be unbanned, I will change the name I dont care about having the name if its such a big problem, but I was banned simply beacause that name and I feel wronged. I just want to Rp.....can I get some actual Maturity from the mods or mod that banned me so he/she can admit they were wrong, hell they dont even have to admit they were wrong. I JUST WANT TO RP AGAIN!! T_T I am so sick of being the nice person, because this is what I get.... |
