Kaylin stands up and turns around; she has been looked at. Her view surveys the rest of the camp; the straggled rag-tag amount of goblins that were left seemed to be either panicing and running away like yellow-bellied cowards; especially Yellow, petrified or still ready to fight. The fight-ready ones had the wrong idea. Kaylin bought her sword up slightly, allowing Tiny's blood to drip off for DRAMATIC EFFECT. Sure, he wasn't dead, but it was sure as hell good looking.

"Heh. Now, anyone else? Or does everyone decide it's best not to die today?" Kaylin grins; as she looks over the crowd. She was more hoping for them to surrender; so she didn't bother to attack this time. She sinks one of her swords into the ground, grabbing a flask from her pouch and preparing it. It being Alchemist's Fire. Ready to throw it at Mr. Cleric over there; he seemed to be holding ground; even though he was stabbity stabbed.

If the Cleric does anything that happens to be not surrendering or running away like a coward, then she'll throw the alchemist's fire at him.

Readied Action: Throw Alchemist's Fire at the Cleric. Condition: Casting Spell, Moving in a way that's not running away (screaming is a bonus) or Attacking anything (even if it's the stupid rat)

Zion raises his scourge over his head for another swing at Nooblet and pauses, able to hear the ruckus outside and the yelling of the barbarian over most.  Well, now, a lot of them are running away and it seems they're being allowed to.  Taking a second to ponder, he lowers his scourge to his side.

Speaking to the goblin in his native tongue, he'll do so a bit quietly, hopefully others outside the tent won't notice.  "It seems they're offering mercy to the more frightened ones.  You'd better leave before they change their mind." He said with a light hiss.  He'll step to the side out of the poor cowering Goblins way giving him the choice to run out there if he so wished.

Well, that was his good deed for the day.  He had done another, but it didn't work out so well.  Not that that was his fault.  If the goblin inecvitably got up and ran out, screaming, he'd walk out afterwards, probably covered in the other goblins blood.  He just wanted to observe the situation at hand, to re-assess.

Kazin perks her ears as she hears the call go out from her compatriots, and levels her spear at the cleric and companion, glaring along the shaft at them both, and speaks almost perfect goblinoid.

"Kazin hear own guards. Battle seems over. Suggest give up now. Kazin rather not cause more harm."

Intimidate
( Kazin rolls 1d20+3 => , + 3 13 )

Of course... with this break in combat, she readies her next action... another spell.
ANother sleep spell just in case. If she needs to make a quick get away. e.e;

Though her eyes quickly scan her surroundings for some way to bring this tent down from the inside should she need to, either by fire or by cutting some sort of support, or knocking it out, as she makes her way out.

Always have a backup plan.

Zion offers mercy to the remaining wounded Goblin.  Without a second though Nooblet takes the oppotunity to escape, running as fast as his goblin legs will take him.

Kazin intimidates her opponents (normally only against one target but these are special circumstances.  In fact you get circumstance bonuses +8.  So your score is now 21.

RANGER: 12:55:45 (  ~Quinn~ rolls 1d20 => 13  ) +1 (14, fail by 7)
CLERIC: 12:55:46 ( ~Quinn~ rolls 1d20 => 3 ) +4 (7, fail by 14)

They step back, looking around as their world is being demolished around them.  Its too much, they are the last ones, and they cannot control Tiny.  He's a liability now.  With reluctant voice the cleric takes the lead, barking out an order in Goblin.  "R-reteat!  Fall back, fall back to the forest!"

Kaylin's joined the group in flexing their muscles against the goblins, and it works.  As Fobble vanishes into the sunset, Foo gets up from where he fell at the barbarian's feet (and presumably is allowed to run away, which he will).  Mwa ha ha ha!

Maya is even kind enough to slap Tiny with the flatside of her axe.  Feeling the crushing weight the half-orc stumbles, its vision woozy.  Down he goes.....

....but it has Ferocity, and it still has some rage left.  Blinded by the current state of rage and refusing to stop even at -5 he rises again.  He's probably the only one too dull to run, that, and he actually doesn't understand Goblin.  He lunges at Maya in an attempt to grapple her!  Attack of Opportunity!
Quote
And I presume you wish to continue to use nonlethal so....
13:05:59 (  ~Quinn~ rolls 1d20 => 19  ) +4 -1 post-rage fatigue, -4 nonlethal strike. = 18 vs. AC 11 (success)

13:08:37 (  ~Quinn~ rolls 1d12 => 2  ) +3 (just enough)

With a final resounding CLANG, Maya puts Tiny to sleep.  Ferocity is over.  He drools dazed and unconscious at her feet.

Risu is free to burn whatever else he sees fit.  Toasty & Ash are both on fire, let's see if they put themselves out.
Quote
Reflex DC 15
TOASTY: 13:10:29 (  ~Quinn~ rolls 1d20 => 6  ) +1 (7, fail)
ASH: 13:10:33 ( ~Quinn~ rolls 1d20 => 18 ) +1 (19, success)
DAMAGE: 13:11:27 (  ~Quinn~ rolls 1d6 => 3  )

Toasty becomes toast (and burns up to death), but Ash manages to roll in the dirt.  He keeps rolling, right out of the camp, escape!  And hoo boy, burnt goblin is not a pretty smell.

"We'll get you for this!" Drizzle curses you as they lead their fellow goblins into a charge, BACKWARDS!

With everyone else escaping what re-enforcements there was take turn and flee!  From the top remaining four tents, in various states of unpreparedness, fear, and general ineptitude, run the last 10 goblins.  10?  WTF?  Why does Eiji roll high for re-enforcement units now?  Oh well, they were all generic warriors anyway.  They scatter like leaves in the wind, until the camp is empty, only the victory music playing from the DM's throne.

BATTLE SUCCESSFUL!

Maya was somewhat surprised when Tiny rose again. With flesh ajouncin, she jumped back, and gritted her teeth as she delivered yet another frying pan smack against the side of the half-orc's head, making him finally go down. "By every god and their mother, this guy doesn't know when to quit." She said with a slightly phazed gaze, before working herself back up to her feet. As the encounter had finally concluded, she felt the residual fatigue slip out of her powerful muscles, and with a pleasant feel, she clenched her fist, and slightly flexed her arm before giggle-laughing and rubbing the back of her head with her hand apologetically should some of her companions think oddly of her behaviour.

Things were at hand, though. Great things; all of a sudden she felt as if she had reached some sort of higher stage of being, and a strange force moved to inhabit her body, guiding her movements on the path to greatness... The sensation of leveling, perhaps, or maybe the mayfreak fart that had been stuck in her bowels for about an hour. Seeing the last of the goblins run away gave her a sense of glee, and eventually, she calmly reattached her heavy greataxe to her back, and folded her powerful arms. "Well, heh, that was a lot of fun. And I didn't even have to burn the place down. Here, Kaylin." she said as she tossed her back her pint-flask of oil, before hobbling away between the fallen goblin bodies and the fresh, yet unkept grass. Her thick leather boots pleasantly crunched the growths below, and her hand moved to rest agains her large, muscled hip, staring out over the various loot that the goblins wore and carried. Before long, though, she was back at Tiny's side, and wrested from his drooling unconscious body a greataxe, not unlike her own, and certainly wrested of equal quality as hers. "Oohohooo." She squee'd in a way as if she was a rich, spoiled 16-year-old girl windowshopping in the land's largest mall. She took a moment to try out the balance of this particular axe, before her eyes went dry and she leant it back against her shoulder. No matter how hot in her loins she got from big weapons, Maya understood well that taking the greataxe would be a waste of strength; she wasn't one to pile 12 pounds of worthless weight on top of her shoulder if no one else would come to need it and she, she already had her own. There had to be less heavy things to take along, and she carried enough stuff as it was. If they'd find something more amazing and the time came to choose the one or the other, she'd forfeit the greataxe and carry that, instead. For now, though, it rested snugly on her shoulder.

Her eyes glanced with slight scrutiny over the armors that the dead ones left behind, and grunted. "Pff, most of them are worthless. Maybe the chain shirts are worth taking, and..." she turned around, regarding a particularly weighty item resting on one of the deceased. "..this plate armor, perhaps..." Her eyes drooped again as she walked towards the plate wearing figure. (Hozo, rite? He had the huge AC after all), and started to strip the figure of its valuables. With a somewhat annoyed grunt, she heaved the heavy plate armor on top of her shoulder. Even with her physical power, this addition to her baggage surely landed her in the realm of 'Medium Load, biatches'. Still, she walked swiftly enough. (Movement speed down from 40 to 30 ft., Armor Class Penalty increased by -3, max Dex bonus +3. How handy). Total load: 134 something pounds. Got about room for 35 lb. more.

For the rest, Maya continued to scavenge here and there, potentially picking up the Morningstar, if no one else desired it. Her gaze turned towards the tents, though, and she rolled one of her large shoulders with mild accompanied grunts as she parted the cloth doorway and looked inside. The mess hall was dirty, smeared with the effects of surprise most likely; perhaps some of the goblins were busy making some rancid meal, and were surprised in their doings by the band of adventurers tearing through their camp. Maya put her boot against a large pot of goblin prepared food. "Let the lands claim this swill before someone takes a bite and dies." Her attention was however turned towards the chests in the corner, and raised her brow as she approached them. Maya cared little for riches, but knew that money was the next best thing to have in her frequent dealings with civilized society, to a set of big muscles that is.

EDIT: Maya's statistics have been upgraded on account of the level gained, and can still be found here or via the S&S Character sheet thread.

Kaylin was happy with her victory. Others may have attributed to it, but she felt that it was a satisfactory enough victory to be self-fulfilling in her gratitude. She looked around and relaxed, sheathing her weapons and adjusting her cloak over her. She pulled out a little notebook and scribble a note before sighing with a smile. In relief, not in disgust anymore.

Kaylin was more appreciative of Maya now; a powerful ally who was as good at her job as Kaylin was. Kaylin takes back her oil and whatever, storing it successful. She nods with a thanks. The other three, however, seemed to be kind of irrelevant and not doing much. Especially that rat. Kaylin squatted down and closed her eyes, concentrating slightly before she'd take her time to examine her victories. The first would be the chieftan's body. That guy had cool lookin- WAIT. Kaylin stood directly up, she shifted her cloak away and looked around with a mission. "The Chieftan's gone. Why has he gone?" Kaylin twitched slightly and looked around; she merely saw dead goblins and a pyromaniac squirrel. "This is distressing." Kaylin mutters to herself as she begins to search for that body. It was hers, dammit!

Zion crosses his arms over his chest, and for right now chooses to ignore the comment from Kaylin.  Either that or he didn't hear her.  Afterall, he was still standing in front of that tent that he had slipped into in the middle of battle.  ...  He idly eyes the dead bodies strewn amongst the camp.  Those poor bastards never knew what hit them.  Looking down at his blood covered cloaks, he gave a light sigh.  It was a good thing they were black.

He took a couple steps over towards where the rogue and the cleric's final resting place were, just to takea  gander at their equipment.  "Perhaps it would be best if we had a rest nearby.  After that scuffle, I am feeling quite fatigued and it will give me time to give the bodies their final rights."  Even if he HAD killed them, respect for the dead was important to him.  He'll even sing a song for their souls to dance away to whatever afterlife they would have gone to.  But that will come later of course.  He also needs to recover his HP.  >>;  That one hit kinda hurt a lot.

On a side note, Zion will be interested in several of the items that were offered, and if no one has any arguements, he will want the scrolls, Command Undead, Daze monster, Bulls Strength, and  Eagles Splendor.  He also wants all four of the ink vials (But he's willing to share of course), both the Alchemist fires, and one of the Cure Mod potions.

"Does anyone mind if I take these items?  If you see something you want, feel free to speak up, don't be shy." He'll say politely, making sure all of his comrades are able to hear him.  He doesn't want to be greedy or anything, especially for the others that have need for ink or can use scrolls.

After that, he's anxious to get the decision on if they rest there or not.  Even while he waits he makes plans, or thinks about what to do with the dead bodies of their enemies.  Creamation, or mass grave.  Neither is very personal, but there's only so much one man can do.  None of this is said out loud, and he's a little worried that cleric is going to want to help.  And Kazin too, she seemed like the sort, but not Kaylin or the barbarian...  Hmm.

ZION!! THE WAR IS OVER! THE WAR IS OVER! ZION! THE WAR IS OVER!

Well, Risu isn't quite that energetic, but he is certainly relieved. While the loot is gathered up, he will go about cleaning the blood from his mace, and armor as is necessary, and go about a brief cleansing ritual, if time allows. As much as the righteous slaughter of the minions of evil is his proud duty, he still feels regret over the senseless shedding of blood.

Prior to his meditations and cleaning up, though, he would first see to the wounds of his comrades, as needed. Whether it is simply cleaning and binding the wounds, or if a spell is required to restore them to health, he is ready and able to provide the services he committed to this excursion.

As for the loot, he will gratefully accept his portion of the funds, and to take any scrolls that do not interest anyone else in particular. Whether he will be able to use them himself, or just to carry them for later use or sale, he figures he wouldn't be able to take on much more than he is already carrying, anyway.

So Kazin steps calmly out of the tent she was in, brushing off her skirt and her top, wincing a little at the small wounds she has, and waving to the others cheerily with a smile, shortly after the two she cornered ran for their lives.

So, now it's HAAAAAUUULL time... and she first goes to the weapons, looking them over curiously... It was a sword was it not? So she goes about examining the rapier first... Quite a curious specimen that one is, masterfully created...

"...Kazin wonder why blade so thin...? Like grass. So flashy... What meant for?..." Seems she's not used to such odd exotic blades as this... She does look awfully confused... Though it doesn't SEEM magical...

Now, armour wise, if someone hasn't already taken them, she takes the bracers up and looks at them appraisingly. "...Hm. Come in useful maybe?"

Then of course, she takes the wand. Oh yes. She knows magical stuff when she sees it, and while she's not sure of what the damn thing IS for now (having not had contact with humans before recently, and not using wands really), she will find out shortly, she's sure. The ring? She'd take that up with a chirpy little gleeful squeak, and try it out on her finger, smiling brightly, tail twitching this way and that.

She thinks it's just jewelry. ^^;

...and after lecturing others on the pointless waste of metal too!

"Is pretty yes? Make Kazin look more like human?" She enquires quietly to Risu though, seeing as he's near. She seems to be blushing a little too... ?? What gives with this girl?

Onto more serious matters though soon as she remembers their purpose... and she gives a startled squeak, and dashes to the well, leaning over the edge, peering down into the inky blackness...

Yes, split the loot as you like.  Remember to update your character sheets accordingly.  And don't forget you guys can post as often as you like out of battle, so if Rusty and Bunnie got in a posting storm of conversation, that's fine with me, or whatever.

For next battle, I think I will use posting order with your initiatives, to see if it can be less chaotic.  You folks post nice and rapidly so it should work.

I'd say go ahead and nap, but you have one problem.  Tiny is not dead, just KO'd.  Just what are you going to do when he wakes up?  Don't take too long deciding, he will wake soon...

Kaylin was under the distinct impression that anything these Goblins had wasn't going to be much use to her, really, and getting the gold that was offered had much more use to her at this current point in time. She was also under the impression some sort of party loot system would be given and her colleagues would find it useful to bring things to some sort of center-like point in the camp and then inspect all the stuff individually, perhaps for use per person or equal split share. Possibly even share dependant on contribution to the battle.

Kaylin was aware, however, she was going to be wrong on the latter assumption; as most people seemed to be greedy and taking things left-right-and-center. She sighed as she continued to squat, her back leant against the well. She'd taken a ration from her back; set down beside her, and nibbling it lightly. She had just found a new reason not to like groups of people. The main one was still the ratling, of course.

Maya found that she herself wasn't really taking things for the sake of taking, and she bore the heavy weight on her shoulder with a sense of indignity. A light grunt left her mouth in a puff of breath as she looked around, before turning to regard the figure of tiny, which she didn't expect would remain asleep for too long. She rolled her eyes as she grasped around the huge Half-Orc's form, half lifting half dragging his bulk around. "It's really hard to... wanna save someone that stinks this bad..." She murmured under the strain of the half-orc's weight. This was the last time that she was going to get emotionally invested in some or other savage potentate on the field of battle, no matter how intensely stupid they are. "Hmf... Let's see if he has the combined wits and skill to think himself ... " she spoke in a grunting effort as she heaved the heavy half-orc over the edge of the trench surrounding the camp. "...out of this hole." She rolled her large shoulders and cleaned her hands by smacking them together repeatedly. "Well, with that out of the way..." Maya was clearly all too happy not to have to give the whole loot distribution system too much thought. "... this here well is starting to look real nice." She put her hands upon the stone curring, looking down the deep, dark shaft with a mix of curiosity and lust for adventure. In the mean while, though, she seated herself on the side of the well and took a bite to eat as well.

"I'll be there in a moment."  Zion called to the people who seemed to be gathering around the well.  Not that he wasn't looking forward to getting a move on or anything, but once the bodies and the rest of the camp was done being looted, he'd begin to move the poor dead goblins' bodies into one of the corners of the ditch.  It was farther away, but he didn't want it to be near Tiny since Tiny was still alive.  Being burned alive, no matter how stupid you are...  Not fun.

Seems he has a lot of work cut out for him while the others busy themsevles with conversation.  So maybe he won't be right there.  Using an unrolled tent that he may or may not have had to tear down, he'll use that to drag the bodies of the goblins all the way to the northwest edge of the camp and dump them in the ditch near the corner of it.  He occasionally slides down into the ditch, taking 10 to climb back out along the corner since that's where climbing is easiest.

He'll be removing anything that he doesn't want to be burned before he creamates these poor dead bodies and gives them to their final resting place.  He will be making listen checks incase others wish to approach him, or if he hears any stragglers all on this side of the camp, and should everything go undisturbed, even though it will most likely take the greater part of the day, he'll climb out, removing a one of his oil flasks that he had, and sprinkling it on the pile of bodies.  He'll then use a tindertwig to set the pile aflame, and sing a meloncholy melody quietly (Mostly to himself) as he does so.

You're free to get his attention or try to come over and sneak up on him or whatever it is other party members like to do to their comrads.

Risu swears he's posted this twice already...

He'll use a Cure Light Wounds in place of his prepared Protection from Evil, to provide some relief to Zion.

07:41:24 (  Fae rolls 1d8 => 7  ) + 3 = 10 HP recovered!

With most of the other post-battle duties taken care of by his comrades, he'll eventually arrive at the focus of their assault, access to the well. If no one else volunteers, he will offer to be the scout to be lowered in first. It's likely that if anything had been near the well's entrance underground in the first place, it would have been scared away by the sounds of battle. At least, that's what he'll assume. Onward and downward!

Kazin gets no response from Risu. She pouts a little and fiddles with the ring, having not checked it for power, but she pockets it anyway. And the wand, and checks over the bracer to see if it'll fit. Simple as that. That's all she takes.

A very light haul. She leaves EVERYTHING else to anybody else who wants it.

As for her now, she's peering down the well. The object of their search was down there, somewhere, amidst the lab the old wizard had built... That's what the old man had said originally, wasn't it? So, while people are wandering about, she wanders over to Zion to get his help. After all, somebody needs to help her get down there, as she pulls a long rope out from her belongings. If she's not stopped, she up and tugs on his clothing.

"Moon-tongue. Can help with rope? Need tie to something. Kazin scout well soon."

...Shame her grammar is screwed, with Common. e.e;

He will remain in his processes of course, having been healed probably before he sets off to do his little funeral ritual for the goblins.

Having been caught outside the pit after the ritual was completed, the back of his cloaks get a little tug.  "Hnn?"  He'd turn his head slightly to see who is there, and upon noticing it's Kazin, he'll turn around.

'Moon-Tongue'.  He found it funny that he had a nickname already, at least from this rat-girl.  No one else had even bothered to address him by name yet.  xD  Oh well, he rather liked it.  It was a bit of an ego boost.

"I would love to help you with that rope.  Let me finish up over here and I'll be right there."  He has to resist the urge to pat her on the head.  xD  How demeaning would that be.  After finishing up a few details and letting the fire burn a bit more (Having tossed them in the ditch to act as a firepit so it shouldn't be any problem keeping the fire in there.), he'll make his way over to the well to inspect it himself.

Well as per Eiji's words, the well DOES have the little roof with the pillars holding it up and a bucket tied to the middle of the small rafter in the roof of the well.  Apparently it's big enough to fit a person.  but Eiji will describe that in more detail he said.  Just incase anyone wants to post again about it, or change anything.

"Well...  This bucket looks big enough to fit a person.  Or did you still want to use the rope just incase there's something down there that will hear that old wooden thing come down?"  Sure it still made sense for Kazin to want to use the rope instead of the bucket anyways, so that didn't matter.  If she said she wanted to use the rope, he would take it for her and tie one end around one of the pillars that's holding up the little well roof, and tug on the rope a bit to see how sturdy it is.  He took 20 on his rope check, btw.

"There, that should be well off for you."

If she would have rather use the bucket, he will be a gentleman and help her into it so that she doesn't accidentally slip and fall into the well to her death and break her neck, legs and other various bones when hitting the rocky ground of the inside floor, because that would just be HORRIBLE.  Isn't he NICE!?

Zion does his business and scorches the eviden- er, I mean bodies.  The fact that he got lucky again with his business, and worked on his bluffing skills means nothing (+2).  (EDIT: My error, actually its +2 Spot.)

With the loot split and Tiny temporarily disposed down a shaft, it seems the party wants to press on immediately.  Indeed, inspections of that well do reveal a bucket system which you can ride down, though if you want to support yourselves with extra rope, that is fine (and lets me ignore the percent chance that it'll break when transporting you guys down one at a time.

And so it is finally time to go down.  The shaft is a good 60 ft. down and ends in shallow water which you can wade in to chest level (next level for some of the shorter members).  It's stagnant and old but otherwise safe.  And its also very dark so someone will have to break out the torches if you want to see.

If you move out of the shaft of light from the well you reach a place where the ground rises, until you can walk on dry land.  It's a cavern in here, roughly egg shaped, and at the pointy end hidden within the gray slate rocks was an out of place and ornate bronze colored door.  Ah, the entrance to the secret lab.  The door was a strange clockwork sight.  There was a handle, but the door was firmly locked.  Hmmmm....

How are you going to get inside here?  Now's the time to make whatever search, spot, listen, or whatever else you feel is appropriate checks.

Kazin blinks and splays her ears a bit, looking oddly confused about being patted on the head, and slightly uncomfortable... So she holds the end of her tail with both hands for a moment as she considers the course of action... though she gets Zion's scent for now... *snffsnff*

...

...How odd...

Either way, she gives him an odd look, but nods and smiles a little. "Kazin thank you." And moves back to the well. "Rope best first. Support. Kazin explore many cave, know best. Be quieter, more grip." She nods, affirmatively, then looks to the others. "Kazin offer go first, will tug rope twice if trouble." SHe nods, then smiles charismatically, with a thankful little chirrup (quite a cute one at that), as she's helped by Mr Moon-Tongue, into the bucket, and with the rope... She's a spry little thing, but of course, first and foremost...

She LISTENS! And looks. Of course...

Spot:
( Kazin rolls 1d16+5 => , + 5 21 )
Listen:
( Kazin rolls 1d20+6 => , + 5 24 )

Woot. That's what I get for rolling a real dice rather than tK's crappy low rolling dice. Phew.
And of course she takes a 20 on the use rope too. She's got more than enough time. Ayes.

ANybody got any other suggestions? She seems to await their approval first, of course...

Risu the Cautious proceeds! Now, with extra CAUTION™

Spot! (20:07:06 (  Ban rolls 1d20 => 6  ) + 4 = 10!)

Listen! (20:07:43 (  Ban rolls 1d20 => 5  ) + 4 = 9!)

Search! (20:07:45 (  Ban rolls 1d20 => 9  ) + 1 = 10!)

That's the last time Risu uses CC's dice.

Regardless of his failure to find anything out of the ordinary, excluding the obvious, he would withhold further action until the rest of the party manages to get down the well. He wasn't the leader, after all, just a scout!

I felt I needed to say this just so the players know, you can usually take 10 or take 20 out of combat (and take 20 is when you don't mind rolling a few 1s and failing because you can repeat the situation without consequence, unlike say, disabling a trap where you can't take 20, which is why I advise taking 10 on that rope Rusty-kun.)  That said... you're in know rush, and as sadistic as it is to let you all roll and fail horribly, I just wanted to remind you those options are available to you.

Also, it is dark, a grue might eat you.  Obvious exits are [up], [door], and [dennis].  Cheesy

Maya continued to seat her big ass on the side of the well, her arms leaning down upon her knees as she looked at what was going on over her shoulder, occasionally blowing a few locks of hair away from in front of her. For all intents and purposes, she was a darer and a doer, but looking at that rope made her feel just a little bit queasy. After all, her weight combined with the weight of what she carried easily exceeded 300 pounds. And, she didn't really like black depths, where she couldn't see the bottom, let alone the imminent claustrophobic rope crawl through a small well shaft when it was her turn to descend.

"Ehhh.. I eh... " she muttered, before scratching the back of her head with a grunt. "Better if I go last. That rope doesn't look all that secure to me.." she gave somewhat of a hesitant grin, but quickly erased any doubt from her face. Suddenly, she stood up; quickly enough in fact to loudly jostle the smattering of items she carried. Especially the full plate strapped in her pack made a good hollow sound.

She wrested her hand around the stone shaft of the well and bent over to look down inside, to where her various comerades lowered themselves down to the floor below. It was so damn dark... Sadly enough, Maya had used her last torch when she went into the city sewers on business for some rich lady that had accidentally flushed her signet ring. Somewhere, Maya lamented the fact that she couldn't be down there first; if these guys were ambushed, who knows how long they'd last without some muscle on their side, let alone someone with a lot of toughness to take the punishment.

"You guys okay down there??" She yelled, before turning to those still up above ground with her. "Someone throw a sunrod down there, or something! Who knows how far they can see."

Anyway, Maya would remain above ground for quite a while, and only when everyone else in the party would be down safely did she grasp the rope, and forced her legs and rump down the wellhole, climbing down. She would attempt to do so with due caution.

Climb check: Take 10, + 5 ranks, + 3 Str, +2 climber's kit, - 4 armor check penalty = 16, easily enough.

Kazin almost forgot to do a search! So she does it at the bottom, yes!

Search:
( Kazin rolls 1d20+4 => +4 24 )

O[]O Oh shiiii! :O Natural twenty!

And of course to top it off, she uses her bonus feat, Keen Scent to try and pick up scent trails before she reports back to the others...

Also, Low Light Vision. YUM. Cheesy

(Also realised I have 9 skillpoints to spend too. o.o I'll get onto that at some point)

So she figures out what the heck's down here. Cheesy

Kaylin finishes her deliciously lovely sexy rations of loveliness. They probably weren't that good, but when that's all you've got to eat, one must fantastize about how much better it is than normal. Kaylin clambers to her feet; witnessing the rest of the peoples clambering themselves down the hole she was leaning against.

While she awaits the tugging of the ropes or whatever that annoying little rat was yipping on about in a disgusting fashion that was not at all 'cute' in anyway, because it was a rat after all. Kaylin merely awaits the confirmation to go down. Hell, if that rat wants to get herself killed; Kaylin's cool with it.

Whenever that rat decides to tug tug the rope, Kaylin would clamber down it! Awesome. Taking a 10 or a 20 or a whatever, she uses her awesome +8 to climb modifier, so she can get down it with a 20 using that climbing kit. Yaaaay.

Well, Zion didn't actually pat Kazin on the head, but...  Oh well.

Once he helps Kazin with that rope, he'll wait for her a-okay to head on down, and once Kaylin is finished pushing everyone out of the way to scramble down there herself, and the Risu, he'll go down himself, since the barbarian opted to go last.

Spot check:  00:34:30 ( Memory rolls 1d20 => 13 ) +1 =14

Listen Check:  00:34:32 ( Memory rolls 1d20 => 12 ) + 1= 13

Well...  Maybe he sees something, maybe he doesn't.  maybe he hears something and maybe he doesn't.  He CAN take 20 on a search check though, which he will do, leaving him with a grand total oooof...  23!

BTW...  Darkvision ftw.  Cheesy  <3

He is sure to move out of the way while Maya is coming down the well hole, lest the rope break and she falls on him.  That could be bad.  Very very bad.  He'll keep his arms at his sides as he does these various checks, and slowly exploring the area.  Hmm...  That door.  Perhaps it requires some key, or is a puzzle of some sort.  Maybe it's a puzzle!  Yay!

"Hmm...  Has anyone else found anything?"  He asks quietly, should he not hear anything that might cause them threat.  That's the last thing he wants to do immidiately is get into another fight.  It's inevitable eventually, but not right away.

And so the searchings and spottings and alll sorts of skills go flying in every direction, until you all die of dysentery.  The end.

Well everyone made it down the rope safe and you fumble in the dark, only those with low light or darkvision able to navigate right now.  Fortunately, a few of those are the ones looking about.  Spots and listens turn up nothing unusual or new, but when the group searches the door...

There's something odd here, these panels on the door are loose.  I think I see a mechanism there, and something sharp!  Discovered a trap, DC 21!

Well its a good thing no one tried the next obvious thing, Open Lock. since you already knew the door was sealed.  Someone better disable that.  You can take 10, but that is probably not going to be enough.  You can't take 20s on traps because 20s assume you mess up a few times, a risk you don't need with traps.

And of course eventually someone must unlock the door as well.  No puzzles, just a good sturdy bolt keeping it shut.

Where's the party skill-user?  Its your time!
