I used to play in TheKeep and then suddenly one day it didn't work. I haven't been banned, it just says Page not found, or the 404 Error. I've tried it several times, and one day someone gave me a link back to TK again. It worked for two minutes, red-lighted, and then went back to Page not found again.
Because of this I went to Realms Rp, which I had been to only once. It worked. And has been working until tonight when it did the exact same thing as TK. I do not know what is wrong. I have cleared my internet data several times, and tried various links to the page. All nexxus chats will not work for me, and if anyone knows why I'd appreciate if you told me, or if you knew how to get them to work again.
Thank you, Patch.

The server took a dump and flushed all it's users down the toilet. Thanks to Drano and a toilet plunger, all have been revived and placed back into their respective chats. Thanks for playing!

I was wondering what that smell was. I thought perhaps you had been eating Taco Bell again.

=/ Tk hasn't been working for about 2 months for me now, it still isn't.
Only the Realms is working for me again. It just went down for a few minutes for a change or something. I'd really like to get them working again if I could.

If you're using Windows XP the check you HOSTS file located at:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\HOSTS
Open it in Notepad and make sure it doesn't have any entries for tK in it. The default HOSTS file should only have a single entry, something like:
127.0.0.1 Localhost
Any other entries may have been placed there either by malicious software (adware, spyware, etc) or possibly by some legitimate software designed to block certain websites. Also, check your browser security settings to make sure tK isn't in your blocked sites list, and check any antivirus/antispyware software you may have installed as well.

Well, I have an iMac, so I'm not sure how to get into any of those kind of files to check, as I don't know anything about this computer at all. x.x
Maybe I got some sort of virus, but I'm not sure.

Maybe I got some sort of virus, but I'm not sure. Who is your internet service provider? What state or country are you located in? Are you able to access: http://nexxushost.comhttp://nexxuschat.comhttp://chat.rpghost.comhttp://www.nexxushost.comhttp://www.nexxuschat.comWhat kind of error messages do you get? The more information you give us the better I can help you get connected again.

Now that sounds suspicious. Definitely something amiss going on there. From the looks of those redirects, I'd almost bet you got malwared! Maybe....I know little about Macs. Anyway, the Mac also has a HOSTS file. For OSX 10.2 or later it's located in /private/etc/ (or possibly /private/etc/hosts ...not sure if that last one is another folder or the actual filename) I believe the format for that one should be essentially the same. Anything with nexxuschat.com or nexxushost.com likely shouldn't be there. You will need to have root privileges to edit the file... Here's a bit of (somewhat confusing) information about that... http://www.modwest.com/help/kb8-52.html

It's also possible you have DNS poisoning that prevents you from accessing the right places.

Wow, you must REALLY have trawled the nets to find someone who even bothered doing that to a mac. o.o;
Who the hells' cornflakes did you take a dump in, Patchwork?

Patchwork, my advice is you find some antivirus software and install it it.
Someone is intercepting your attempts to access the other site names. That could either be happening on your computer from a virus or at your ISP (comcast/verizon/whatever you have) and they aren't letting you get here.
If your Mac is still under warranty, call tech support and tell them that for whatever reason, certain websites you know are still up are being redirected to other suspicious looking websites.
You may wish to call your ISP as well if the Mac people can't fix it.
There's nothing wrong with the nexxuschat/nexxushost servers, and you can even access the same machine that cyberchat is on because you can get to realms.

...and you can even access the same machine that cyberchat is on because you can get to realms. That does substantiate the whole DNS poisoning aspect, since realms as its own domain.
