I can remember one that was territorial over her shade of pink. Jules, if I remember right. Although there were more.

I'll add my voice to the chorus.
Log it. SS it. /ignore. Abuseform. Expect it to be resolved.
If it happens again, have the documentation ready and speak to a staffer when you know they're on.
If you are bitching when a mod is AFK for three fucking minutes, then my response is in my sig.

I only have one thing to say on this thread :
Hazy and I are no longer on staff. Our realities forbid it.
As to the rest of this?
Sorry, kids, this rabbit loves her the /ignore function.
Grow the hell up. Were this "back in the day" you'd have people cybering in every corner, chair, couch and table, and you'd have the "oldies" ridiculing you at every turn for the SLIGHTEST thing. Typos, spelling, dropped whispers, or hell, your font colour, regardless of whether it was neon or not. I can remember one that was territorial over her shade of pink.
We also had, a huge limit in those days. 25 people. OMG. Ker, honey, you know I love you.... That wasn't the old days. That's now. Except instead of "oldies", it's "everyone".

Except instead of "oldies", it's "everyone". So basically nothing has changed then. Except user limits, I guess. And now people can't see your IP as easily.

And now people can't see your IP as easily. Yeah, pretty much. There's other shit, too, like you can't imp as easily, and there's no alpha. The userbase is bigger. The douchebaggery remains the same.

Sad thing being I still remember that person and their specific color of purple Cel.
From user limmit 25(no v) - user limmit 100. TK v1/1.1/1.2
<.<;; Guess that makes me the looser.

<.<;; Guess that makes me the looser. We're on version 2.5.3 at the mo. And there's no userlimit if I recall. Though there might be, something like 250. >.>; V1 literally was the HTTPChat software. horrible stuff that. Version 2 was the PHPMychat we're using now... Which was only meant to be for one room, no more. e.e;

...But the fact of it is I still remember that we used to have a user limit that low
...and that I still can remember rather a lot of people from back then that arent even around anymore.

So what, you people are honestly going to make me blow the cobwebs off my forum account for another tired re-tread of something that two hundred fifty-five thousand more intelligent ( but common-sense lacking, ) people ahead of you have already attempted?
First off, the 'Good ol' days' only existed for the people in the 'Accepted' circles and cliques, the rest were left out in the digi-cold. Yes, there were awesome stories told and epic campaigns played out to satisfaction, but the reality of our situation back then was more akin to a small room of like-minded malcontents, whereas now, we've an auditorium of vicious, puling little rugrats with an overblown sense of themselves and egos bigger than they are. Elitism runs rampant, especially coupled with a 'Me First!' attitude spawned by users who expect to be worshiped for their skills at teh ubar intarnetz pwnage lolz!
People have lives. People need to pay bills in order to function at the most basic of levels. Eat, sleep under a roof and bathe regularly. By your logic, Czar, it should be treated as taboo to go take a piss, let alone go to your eight hour job or more.
I'm sure I've been an on and off member of this community for far longer than most of the percentage who frequent this site. As they say, there's nothing new under the sun...especially not this thread and especially not your attempts at forcing change, Czar.
Gah.
:grumble:

While this thread is quite luzly to read from a point of someone who thinks that generally moderators should not even be needed, perhaps its time to lock the thread. As I think even the author has ceased checking it.

To counter that distasteful mental image, while I eat my sandwich, imagine me naked, Crane. Naked and covered in mayo. Its only distasteful if you use low-fat mayo.
