Yeah, I mean. Come on. How does she even know? Fucking bitch. She's so ugly and useless anyways. I was hoping they'd kill her off, but NOOO!

Pretty awesome because I didn't care about that thing. I love the German dude.
Guillermo Del Toronto needs to make a Neverwhere movie.

Her haircut is cute now.

Hellboy in the beginning was annoying and ugly.
Loved the movie though. But I was a little tired when I went to watch it. I'll watch it again though.

The fire girl is ugly, regardless of her hair. They need to get rid of her.
Baby Hellboy needed to die, though the Howdy Doody thing was cute.
Also, don't think about it too much guys. In the day or so since I first saw it, I'm noticing that the story is sort of limp. But the creatures are awesome, so it sort of makes up for it.

The BBC's Neverwhere was actually quite nice. I'd rather del Toro did American Gods.

It's awesome!!
The story it's simple, with no major pretension or uneeded complexity. The characters are at their best. The visual design, it's very cool and rich. And B'oC is right: the german guy is pretty funny!

Good movie. Selma Blair is hot. Kid Hellboy was funny. Kung Fu elves were a cool change of pace.

For those 'in the know' about how directing tends to work, you'll find that this is Del Toro's 'cash cow' for further endeavors like 'Pan's Labyrinth.' He's already in contract for Hobbit 1/2 and for HB 3, so after that, 5 years from now, expect another magnificent art piece he can fund with no oversight.
As such, I didn't go into the movie expecting any level of brilliance from the writing. And I didn't receive it. What I received were glanced-over sub plots and an overall weak character arc (comparative to the comic) which really leads into a blatant SEQUEL PLUG. Dude, we knew there would be one anyway, no need to panic and tell us.
Generally, there's no real development off of his caring about the elemental, no development shown on why they leave (it's obvious, but so quickly inserted that it seems like a 'lolbai!'), and it's all really only saved by the OVERWHELMING AWESOMENESS OF ABE!
Overall, t'was good, and very entertaining, but it left some deep wanting. I blame producers and their cockbitery.

Seeing Rob's post, and knowing we both read pretty much all of HB, I'm somewhat worried. But I'll give it a shot.

Hellboy and Abe getting drunk and singing. That was my favorite scene. I liked the villains, because I felt like they actually had a motivation, but then they got brushed aside and we saw pointless creature mashing leading to a classic EPIC DUEL with soap opera ending.
Oh, and I really just want to see Hellboy punch something and call it 'You horrible thing'.
