BREACH: A free form roleplaying game where player's actions have consequences on the world. Implementing a real time combat system, players have the opportunity to solve conflicts through stat based combat. Roleplaying stays at the forefront by having the combat system take care of stats behind the scenes. This way players have the freedom of roleplaying with the power to band together in defeating foes, or destroying all who stand in your way.
Hi Nexxus roleplayers,
I'm a game developer currently studying in Vermont and am advertising a game I'm working on right now. This game, called BREACH
breachgame.wordpress.com is completely inspired by the wonderful experiences I had with the Keep during my time in high school. I'm really glad to find out that it's still around, and the community is larger than ever. I also hope that it's alright that I'm advertising this game here, as it won't be run on the nexxus servers (although if nexxus is interested, I would love to talk with them about any arrangement).
Based off the Keep, and many of the RPGs here, BREACH offers a space for free form roleplaying. What I want to bring to the table is an organized system for dealing with combat. So, BREACH is an online chat game with a combat system. It's extremely minimal, and I'm trying to make it as unobtrusive to the roleplaying experience as possible. The only times I wasn't having fun roleplaying is when some players would 'god mode.' Thus, this combat system allows player to actual deal damage to each other, and kill other players if the conflict escalates. Currently, the game is still in development, but I'm looking for beta testers and suggestions! Please sign up at the BREACH forums (
breachgame.proboards.com) and tell me what you think. What else would you like to see in a roleplaying game? If you want more information, send me a private message, e-mail, or let me know on the BREACH boards.
I look forward to roleplaying with you in BREACH!
