I'm just going to say now that the whole 'harassment' rule is a bit loose and is certainly being abused. Not only that, but 3 times in the past two weeks I've known people who've been randomly banned without warning on grounds of 'harassment'. Oh...kay? Aren't the Moderators still supposed to warn them first either publicly or in a whisper? I wont name drop like a jerk, but it all seems to trail back to a singular moderator.

When did it suddenly become okay to ban on a lark?

While this thread is up, I'd like to request that one of the mods contact me and share with me what made the process of banning me go from ten days, to thirty, to permanent, to thirty, and back to permanent. Preferably a response with a form of stable logic attached. Not "You were on probation." and not "Because of the link you posted.". The link was an accident, and worse things have been posted without those people being banned, or only being banned for ten days.

Yep, whole lotta bullshit going on, and it's been that way for a while. Despite the clear AUP rules saying that there should be warnings, bans tend to be handed out on a permanent basis on the first offense.

Incidentally it's clearly more a question of "who kisses his ass and who doesn't" than "who is a detriment to the Keep and SHOULD be removed" because we all know there are certain users that remain simply because they're good buddies with the mods, despite their well known history of rule breaking.

Yeah, I've heard some things about a particular mod that really put me off my dinner. And it's packed full of trigger warnings, too. And it's this same person who I think has been banning people for funzies. Or to get on the better side of females. In the end it's all speculation, but said person -really- isn't helping disprove it at this rate. Blegh!

I would find it amusing if Pitcheh was Mikito from Silvermoon either yesterday or the day before, I would simply laugh if he figures he deserved a warning for such blatant violation of the AuP. Moving along the mods have the option of warning you if they figure that what you've done is minor and is worthy of you just changing and moving on with life. Now a lot of people lately have had unacceptable pictures in there profiles the same type they'd get banned flat out for posting links to in the chat. Pink you brought this issue up in another thread. The moderators assume you have the intelligence to read the keep's AuP and obey the rules, if you blatantly break them such as posting a picture with an anthro wolf...naked graphically doing something then don't expect a warning expect a flat ban. However there is no rule anywhere that says they MUST warn you before they ban.

Not this particular instance no, but you metioned that there have been several supposed bullshit bans lately and I'm just saying that sometimes the person banned really does not deserve any kind of warning if they have blatantly disregarded a rule that is printed plain as day. I guess that was my point I was just using the picture from the other day as an example.

To summarize, SSS had his friend Rycuda message me, claiming to feel sorry for my ban, and offered repeatedly to hack The Keep for me. Not having a clue who it was, I figured it was a legit offer, but told the person to not hack TK because it wouldn't be right. I said I was going to fight against the ban legitimately or take my loss legitimately and that was that. He told me to keep in touch and let him know how the battle goes, and I said I would.

A few days later I was talking with SSS again, who blatantly insulted me over AIM and proceeded to tell me that he's just waiting for an excuse to make the 30 day ban into a permanent one. I then messaged Rycuda again to try to talk to him, and he pretended to not to know me. I was like "Uh, weren't you the guy who said you hacked CC and offered to hack TK for me?" ignorantly not realizing that I was being played. The next day I was informed that my ban was made permanent on grounds of "trying to get somebody to hack The Keep".

I quickly went back and saved my most recent chat with Rycuda, but didn't think to save the log from the other conversation days before that. Yes, I feel stupid as hell because I played into their hand like a fool, but still. This is the exact "tk politics" bullshit that this thread is addressing.

I dont think its a conspiracy. Far-fetched, but this isn't something that many bellicose sorts -wouldnt- do. All it means is either Dalton's crazy or SSS is an asshole.
