Just thought I'd make a thread for any Sci-Fi fans out there who want to showcase their futuristic art.  With that said, I'll showcase my newest work.

I'm in the process of developing a new overlay for Lightsaber images, so that everything has less of an edge and looks more fluid and blended.  In some of my past saber effects shots, you could see a rectangular edge around the saber emitter, and a fine point that was clearly visible near the tip.  This is my best attempt to neutralize that problem.

And before anyone asks, that's a ratcheting screwdriver.  No, it's not a lightsaber prop.  But it's darned funny as to WHAT can be used for a lightsaber hilt.  Comments?  Questions?  Bring em!  Need a lightsaber effect done for a picture?  Contact me!

And I said to a guy, "Tell me, what is it about cocaine that makes it so wonderful?"  And the guy says, "Well it intensifies your personality."  So I said, "Yes but what if you're an asshole?"

Well here's a piece of mecha concept that I was working on.  Spent about half an hour on it so far, it's small, much left to do.

Okay, here's another soldat.   Changed the color and sketched in a 4 pack missile launcher on it's shoulder, and gave it a machinegun type weapon i think.

Heeey, awesome work there, Jerl.  What did you use?  Good old pencil and paper?  Or did you go digital?

Completely digital.  Photoshop and my bamboo fun tablet.  I am attempting to maneuver my way int oa digital workflow, slowly but surely.  I am getting a little better, but I am still a ways off of what I can do with pencil and paper.

Here's something that I never thought I could do.  I just got a copy of Adobe After Effects and finished a rotoscoping session.  The video clip that I rotoscoped was only 3 seconds in length, but it took me roughly 10 minutes of work per second of video.  Imagine if it was a feature film...

Anywho, check it out.  It's on my YouTube channel.  First video.

Cloned myself.  In a darkened environment - aka my bedroom.
