I've decided to make a thread, so that the MainHall people can voice whatever grievance they have that's got them swarming into the Lobby. Not because I actually have a problem with MainHallers, but because holy shit, it's difficult to talk with like a dozen people insulting each other simultaneously.

So, hey, MainHallers. What's got bees in your collective bonnet so bad that you decide that, somehow, dropping into the Lobby to introduce yourselves is worth the shitstorm if you can get the attention of the mods?

Also, I'm going to request that only MainHall people respond to this thread. One of the reasons they cited for not taking it to the forums is because people bag on them constantly when they're on the forums, so, to keep bagging to a minimum, let's try to keep this a MainHall thread.

Somebody got banned, and MainHall people decided to come into the Lobby to wait for a mod. Not, y'know, that bad right there, but what made me make the thread was that, once Atheism informed the Lobby that he and the other MainHallers were A) MainHallers and B)waiting for a mod to discuss something, a giant shitstorm resulted.

When asked why they didn't take it to the Forums, they said they got insulted just for being MainHall people. So, I made a thread where they wouldn't get insulted - or shouldn't, god damn it - because I was sick of seeing this giant shitstorm of insults that made it impossible to talk.

Well, in a way, Atheism and MadHatter did by deciding to, rather than just chill and blend in, go "We're MainHallers, here to wait for a mod to discuss a situation." And, well, that kind of thing tends to go down like a lead balloon.

It's not that they were there, period, that made me make the thread. It's the general "oh look people from that room we're inexplicably rivals with!" thing and what followed, which basically just gave me a headache from how dumb it was. I don't get the whole rivalry thing, myself, so I don't bother with it except when it just gets so all-encompassing that you can't talk.

Kade, if you don't have anything useful to contribute, don't fucking post at all, asshole. There's a reason people don't like you. It's because you post shit like this with the intention of starting fights. No one's being disagreeable in here to begin with, so don't start.

I've been saying this for a while, but the OOC Lobby/MainHall rivalry or whatever it is is astoundingly dumb. I'm saying this as someone who regularly hangs out in both rooms. For that matter,  I'm tired of all the room cliques/rivalries. It's discouraging to new users and builds unnecessary tensions between the old ones. If people actually wandered out of their regular rooms and started interacting with other people, who knows? They might find common grounds. Hell, they might even find someone new to roleplay with.

I mean, when it gets down to it, every room has its dickheads. But people can be likable, too. It feels like the more obnoxious members of a room begin to represent it. It doesn't have to be that way.

It doesn't help that the most offensive from any given room are most likely to go into another room and start shouting "Hey I iz from _________ and you all suck" where as most of the more likable ones tend to not bother going elsewhere or end up totally being failed to be noticed as being from elsewhere.

Not here to ruffle feathers, but Beckett was the one that was involved with that 'glitch' thing a while ago, where apparently somehow he could see posts from private rooms and whispers. Maybe it was something to do with that.
