Magic: The Gathering, I have an Eldrazi deck and it's fun.

Besides the occasional card game... not much... one of these days I'll get around to playing my backlog of games... but I lack desire.

Backlogged:

Ar Tonelico 2
Ar Tonelico 3
Dynasty Warriors 6
That one game about fucking chicks and playing your decedents to fuck more chicks till you beat the game 5 generations down the line... (Where you can fuck the elf chick who was just a kid during generation 1)
I just finished Heavy Rain after a year or so of owning it and surviving spoiler free... so that's finally off the list.
OH... I own AvP which I never finished...
Harvest Moon on the psp
Harvest Moon on the DS
Maybe someday I'll catch all the pokemon on White...

There are probably others... I used to ALWAYS beat my games, now I play them for a day and move on. Granted... sometimes a day is all you need.

Maybe I should stop buying video games...

L.A. Noire is supposed to be Heavy Rain-style piece of shit. But if you're into that sort've thing, I guess you'll love it.

Also, still playing MvC3, picked up Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit again, EA MMA, and still waiting for Battlefield 3 and Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition.

First off, Heavy Rain owns.

Secondly, the only thing it has in common with Heavy Rain is that it is a narrative focused game whose story involves crime(s). The gameplay, the focus of the gameplay, and essentially every other aspect is completely different.

Further, Bondi/R★ have gone on record as stating 'we specifically went out of our way to add crappy motion gimmicks to the game'.

So I don't know what the hell you mean by 'Heavy Rain-style piece of shit'.

They showed gameplay on justin.tv last night. I was thinking it was going to be a crime-driven, 40's era Red Dead Redemption or something considered it's made by Rockstar, but it was basically "Cutscene. Walk into room. Press A. Press A. Cutscene. Press X. Cutscene" for like and hour and a half. It's more like an interactive movie than a videogame.

That would be the problem right there, it's made by Team Bondi, and published by R★. It has never been promised to be, advertised as, or otherwise given any indications of being 'GTA in the 1940s as a cop' or 'RDR in the 1940s'.

It's like WoW. Except better looking and with more interesting abilities and races that don't look immensely dumb.

"Like WoW" doesn't say too terribly much, aside from possibly:
"Similar UI"
"Similar key layout"
"Similar wait times to get into any dungeons with anyone ever"
"Immense bigotry among the playerbase regarding numbercrunching and mathcrafting"

Sad
First one is okay, sure. Second one is understandable. Third and fourth I'd like to avoid, though :/

Played some Dissidia: Duodecim earlier. Mastering the timing of Jecht's combos is difficult, but I think it'll be rewarding.

Also played some Gods Eater Burst, since I haven't played that since I got Dissidia and I didn't want to get rusty - it's got more attention-holding potential than a fighting game does, after all.

I just got Mount & Blade: With Fire and Sword.

It's... well, it's a pretty good M&B: Warband mod. There are cool new features (you can build universities and other buildings in towns you control, build a temporary mobile fortification while on the map, an actual plot and obviously, firearms) some were taken out (marriages for example) and some were just modified (you don't recruit basic troops at villages, you have to go to a mercenary camp)

"It's like Wow, except clunky, shitty looking, and has a RIDICULOUSLY terrible story plot and lore"

WoW is a clunky, shitty looking game with an awful plot and even worse lore.

So what're you getting at here about Rifts?
