A few weeks ago, due to the volume of complaints the staff was receiving about certain bans, I elected to establish some Ombudsmen to handle complaints and investigate the staff and user problems.

Current Ombudsmen: Kill_Boy Lurkdom Xachariah

These people are people I feel I can trust not to be trod over by the staff, and also know when a complaint isn't valid. If you feel you've been mistreated in anyway, please contact them with as much information as you have (including any logs) and they will look into the complaint. If they can, they will try to persuade the staff of your case. They may not always be successful, or get exactly the result you want, but they will do their best.

Please note they are not staff. They aren't special, they're not "super users," or dressed-up Global Moderators. What they do is purely volunteer work, and they're here to keep the staff functioning cleanly and to complaints handled in as efficient and quickly of a time period as possible.


The best way to submit a complaint right now is through forum PM to them. They'll handle your case privately and discretely, formulate a message to send the staff, then get back to you as quickly as they can. PLEASE INCLUDE THE USERNAME YOU WERE BANNED ON - if they don't know who you are they can't help you.

Greetings. I would be the one called Lurkdom in the OOC.

As Webster has said, if you have a complaint about the staff or feel that you have been caught up in an error such as the ban bug, please feel free to contact me through PM here. I look forward to serving the populace in a positive manner as well as bringing some harmony as a bridge between the staff and userbase.

Addendums:

As far as lodging a complaint goes, logs are good, screenshots are even better. Just remember that if you don't have evidence, it's word against word and there's little that we can objectively do for you in a case like that.

A few other guidelines:

1. Be courteous. We know that you are likely frustrated if you ever have to come to us, but this is us taking time out of our free time to help you guys out.
2. Be prepared. The more stuff you have supporting your claims, the more cut and dry we can make things.
3. Be patient. Regarding complicated cases, it takes time to gather evidence and deliberate on it. Some complaints can be resolved in an hour, others may take days, and the worst would take weeks.
4. Be forthcoming. By entering the chat, you agree to abide by the AUP. Ignorance is not an excuse and cannot be defended. We trust that you are mature enough to understand what you can and cannot do by using the site.
5. Be compliant. If you get banned, do not attempt to re-enter the chat for any reason. This may be ruled as ban evasion and warrants an even more severe penalty than not. It's simply not worth it. Instead, come to one of us right away if you have any questions and we will attempt to clarify your situation in a timely manner.

Hello. I'm Kill Boy. I've been known to shitpost (poorly, by some accounts) and a lot of users may not agree with the decision to make me an Ombudsmen. To that I say its fine if you don't agree. I'll hear all complaints regardless. There is a lot of ego involved in TK and I think it is time we step back, re-evaluate procedure, and re-evaluate ourselves. My simple tips for when you're banned?

1: Keep a cool head.
2: Don't antagonize.
3: Don't ban dodge.
4: Contact one of us and we'll look things over.

That being said thank you Web for your confidence in me and I hope everyone will find me of some use in the future.
