I suppose I should actually give a more "complete" version of what my wonderfully "lulzy" images are attempting to get across.[ TL;DR: I'm tired of the bullshit. I'm tired of the people. I'll try not to let the door hit me on the ass on the way out. ][ MATURE CONTENT BELOW ] Over the past few years (I didn't bother to count.) of making this map, and over the numerous years to which I have dedicated time to the Keep and the community - even through all of my incessant trolling - I have seen a lot of good players and good writers. I've watched them rise to their climax (lawlz) of success, peak, then descend to be little more than flame-bait and elitist pricks. I've watched a community that was once a bastion for would-be and amateur writers collapse into being little more than a rip-off of "Jersey Shore." I've watched people (myself included) dedicate time to attempt to save it, mostly to little success, and even less gratification for what they have at least attempted to do.
So, in short, I'm tired of it. I'm too tired to continue this project. I'm tired of putting up with your (yes, you) bullshit. I'm tired of every time I log on, it just being another cluster-fuck of drama and dumbassery™. I'm tired of watching this dead horse be ravaged and raped. I'm tired of watching little more than zoophiles use this website for their "meet and e-fuck" headquarters. Yet, I suppose, most of all, you people are tired of reading this; so, what would have been a long, narcissistic rant about what I'm tired of, I'll cut this short and explain it in terms everyone will understand...I'M "GETTING-THE-FUCK-OUT" WHILE THE GETTING IS GOOD! HOPE YOU ALL ENJOY YOUR RAPIDLY-DEGRADING COMMUNITY AND ALL THE BULLSHIT THAT MOST PEOPLE BRING WITH IT! I HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A GOOD TIME GORGING YOURSELVES ON E-PENIS GROWTH DRAMA! I haven't really spoken to you in a long while, Atheism. I abandoned The Keep for my own personal reasons, but I do realize enough to know that your departure is a detriment to the community as a whole. Not to say that the leaving of any member of a community should go unrealized or celebrated in any fashion, but it's still a particular shame to see you go. Then again I'll still be able to talk to you and possibly RP with you at any point after this. All the same I wish you well in your endeavors and don't hesitate to contact me for any reason.

Your first mistake was expecting anything worthwhile out of here.
Most of the users are children, and you put forth professional ambitions amongst a group of people who barely have the self confidence to go out and get themselves jobs.
Ask yourself, how much of the community is doing something noteworthy with themselves? Being involved in serious creative projects? Pushing their careers?
How many more are half-assing it, killing time on the internet like 90% of the other human beings out there?
This community is just full of kids. Kids would rather destroy than create; to be dramatic rather than ambitious, and dare I say prudent. Congrats on how far you made it with this, but I don't know why you expected much. If you want to take on positive change in this community, then think of yourself as the sewer maintenance guy. If scrubbing shit just to get to the clean is something you don't mind, then it's a good job for you to take up.

Anyhow, getting a break from here is a GOOD thing. If you don't want drama, the occasional roleplay, or just to keep in touch with friends, then this place probably isn't the best place to spend your time. Take up a more effective hobby. Honestly, just look at users like Kade and 1337, for example. They're prt of the drama fest you mentioned because their lives are wrapped up in this place. They miss jokes, they miss the bigger picture because they're really involved; really focused.
The internet is a dangerous place when it's not tempered by a healthy dose of the real world. You really have to be able to take a step back and look at internet communities like the Keep from other perspectives. Get out of Wonderland for a little while and see it for what it is---a slighty organized madness. And that's fine, you just gotta keep all of that shit in balance.
