Ask yourself, how much of the community is doing something noteworthy with themselves? Being involved in serious creative projects? Pushing their careers?
I'd say a lot of them. The people I talk to all either have jobs, are at college or Uni like me, or are raising their children.
Ironically, I think it's the people who really aren't doing anything that don't frequent the internet. I can't see crack addicts or pimps or drug dealers frequenting TK or the internet in general.
I don't think the percentage of children among TK's users is as high as some people think it is. "They're all just kids" is something people say to console themselves when confronted with other user's apathy, rudeness, lack of empathy, and indifference.
Speaking as someone whose always tried to foster community through online associations, it's not people's age or occupation that causes these things.
I'm sorry to see someone else's community project go down the shitter, but I'm also not surprised.
