Ombudsman Report

This is the first Ombudsman Report. What it, and future reports, will contain is a listing of statistics, so people have an idea how much banning actually goes on.

From January 23rd, the date of Ombudspointment, to today, the 28th of February, there have been a total of seven bans.

Of these seven bans, two were a case of ban-evasion, two were posting of inappropriate links with full knowledge that they shouldn't have posted them (and made names specifically to do so), one was public cybering, one was spam (of profanity), and one was somebody who apparently thought tK was a sex site.

Given that people who ban-evade are out of scope of the Ombudsmens' duties (i.e, there's nothing I can do to help you then) I have not included them in the final number.

I'm also not counting the spammer who posted the two inappropriate links, who made names specifically to do this, and made it clear that they knew they shouldn't, as I don't consider people who register on tK specifically to do things like that legitimate users.

Not counting the one who thought tK was a sex site for pretty much the same reason.

Which brings us to a total of... two bans of legitimate users. Not sure what either were thinking, but hey, that's not the purpose of this report.

None of the above users have complained about their bans in any way, shape, or form that I am aware of.

This is the second Ombudsman Report. It was posted on the 31st of March, 2011.

Bans:
1 for posting another user's pictures without that user's permission.
1 for posting inappropriate pictures.
3 for Out-of-Character chatter after being asked to stop by moderators.
1 for posting inappropriately sexual things in open chat.
1 for linking to a porn site in open chat.
Total bans: 7. All users were legitimate.

Complaints to the Ombudsmen:
2 of the above users sought the aid of the Ombudsmen.
1 retracted their complaint after looking over the log with fresh eyes, and after being informed that it would not be permanent.
1 didn't actually say anything about what they were complaining about, and their ban ran out before they got around to explaining their complaint to the Omdudsmen.

Next report will be on April 30th, 2011.

Also, it has been brought to my attention that this 'legitimate users' thing should be defined. 'Legitimate users' will be defined as 'people who use tK for its intended purpose, at least for the most part, and are actually allowed on it.'

Bans:
2 user for evading a roomban put in place by a moderator of that room.
3 users for evading a sitewide ban.
1 user for attempting to run a graphically sexual pedophiliac rape RP.
1 user for posting inappropriate images.
2 users for soliciting cybersex.
2 users removed for good.
2 users for spamming.
5 users for OOC.
Total: 18
