YOU ARE SURROUNDED!
Who you were and where you came from are not important! What matters is that, here and now, you are under attack! Beset by fiendish beings for reasons unknown, you must carve a path to safety, be it with a torpedo-loaded space dreadnaught, a plasma blade, or quick words and a persuasive tongue!
Blaze through waves of enemy fighters! Stay frosty! Nuke bugs from orbit! (It's the only way to be sure.)
As the adrenaline rush fades, perhaps the mysteries of this new, strange universe will begin to make sense. If you survive to see your journey to the end, you will become a legend among the stars. If not... well, there's always next time.

YOU ARE SURROUNDED is a seat-of-the-pants science-fiction roleplay that focuses on improvisation and spur of the moment creativity as opposed to setting things up in advance. It's held at GateZero, with a link at the bottom of this post. Instead of a cumbersome, constrictive roleplay with little room for personal creativity, YOU ARE SURROUNDED puts itself on the fly and grows with the player. It's meant to be very easy to get into, without fuss or hassle, or having to wait days to get profiles approved.
Things to keep in mind:
-A profile skeleton, for the most part, is not necessary. A character type, such as "Pirate" or "Diplomat" is enough to get started.
-This can be an ongoing or one-time event. Jump in and play or carve out a legend to return to again and again.
-For those that want the full experience, death may be provided in small quantities. Those that prefer the more casual mode may request it, though those interested are encouraged to go the whole hog.
-A solo run or a group run is feasible, though in groups, it will be necessary to put together a turn order to keep from getting too far ahead.
-The game is not set in any specific universe. Part of the fun is exploring and letting the world build itself.
-A blank canvas is not a blank check. God-modding won't be tolerated.
-Have fun!
High adventure awaits!
