With all the wrestling rps on here I think it's safe to say we have some fans. Pretty sure that some of us watch WWE and TNA right? SO why not have a thread to discuss it ?

Now, I now we're gonna have the genius trolls that feel the need to make "wrestling is fake" announcements here, and all I can say is "No shit" save everyone the time and effort ? I'm also sure we'll have the "wrestling is gay people who watch wrestling are gay" troll responses. All I can say is "1980 wants it insults back, moving on."

Now that we have that out of the way, what do the keep's wrestling fans think of the current state of the wrestling world? WWE? TNA? ROH? Indies?  Who's our favourite wrestlers past and current? What was the best match or part of this weeks shows?

What would we like to see? What are we tired of seeing? As far as matches and story lines go?

My favourites past and present would include  Undertaker, first and foremost. After him would Randy Macho Man Savage and then guys  like Dr Death Steve Williams, Barry WIndahm, Arn Anderson, Sting, Stone Cold, The Rock, Chris Benoit, Chris Jericho, Dean Malenko, Shammus, Matt Morgan, Randy Orton and Kurt Angle. I guess as far as Divas go, past and presant would be Lita, Stacey Kibbler, Trish Stratus, Kelly Kelly, and Natalia .

For the most part, diva wrestling is just eye candy to me. Sure some of them have decent in ring ability, but here of late I think a guy in the row behind me at the Smackdown I atteneded put it pretty well.
" I understand that women's wrestling is , has been and always will be a part of the show. But, the guys old enough to "get it" think it's boring, and the kids auidience aren't old enough to get it yet."
So they could do away with 3/4 of the female roster in both companies and have 1 women's match a week and at each pfv and be fine. The matches they have these days do well to last five mintues tops anyway and a lot of them are sub par performences anyway.

In general, I think the WWE and TNA need to focus more on thier younger or " mid card talent".  Especially TNA, wich has a lot richer roster of next generation talent, but we see the main event at thier next pfv is Kurt ANgle and Sting, two guys on the down side of thier careers, adn the weekly show spends way to much time o guys like Hogan, Bully Ray, Flair, and Jarret who need to know when to hang it up.

The WWE is kind of the opposite. Tey have plenty of young talent, and a lot of thier older guys are getting banged up and retiring lately, but they don't seem to know what to do with or how to develope the younger guys .

I'm not gonna lie, I've always been a big WWE fan and such, never had any shame about it and am STILL a proud WWE/wrestling fan. That said, as far as Everything else I've seen outside of WWE...well, I really dont have any interest in them really.

Indies I know nothing about, I've TRIED watching TNA and saw it was somehow more fake looking then WWE (in my eyes), and ROH...I respect the wrestlers, but I've noticed Most (not all, dont bite my fricken head off for saying this) of them are pretencious snobs and know it all's and seem to be hostile towards newbie fans of the business.

That said, my favorite wrestlers past and present are (in no particular order): Undertaker, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Ricky Steamboat, Macho Man Randy Savage (RIP), Shawn Michaels, Tommy Dreamer, Bret Hart, Chris Benoit (RIP...Even if you did a HORRID thing before you died), Daniel Bryan, Diamond Dallas Page, Pre-TNA Sting, Booker T, CM Punk, Christian, Eddy Guerrero, and a few others I need to think about.

I dont mean to come of sexist, but aside from Eye candy, Womens Wrestling...Never interested me honestly, I've tried ot make myself be interested in it (aside from Shamelessly gawking) but...I seriously couldnt even when there were good ones (Lite, Trish Stratus, China before she nuts, etc), soooo...Moot points.

Just to add on I also would like state my LEAST favorite wrestlers as well: Randy Orton (Overrated asshole pretty boy boring Gorilla, there is not ONE thing I find about him entertaining and if he died in a fire one day, I'd piss on his fucking Grave), John Cena (I respect the man because how far he got, but GOD DAMN does WWE push him to the stars in the most annoying way possible, having Crush nearly ALL other talen beneath his wake), Tripple H (once again, sorta like John Cena...Only, aside from rising from the ashes to full on glory...He fucked the bosses daughter. I dont care what ANYONE says, that shit right their gives you a near instant pass into the Wrestling world of Near untouchable and that...Is annoying to me), The Rock (I used to like him, and I know this is a stupid reason, but the mother fucker gave up wrestling to star in shitty movies...That is pathetic and an insult to the Fans Everywere in my opinion), Brock Lesner/Bobby Lashley (I consider these two the same despite obvious racial differences, both are the same as in they were fucking on Top of the WWE world and what do they do? Spit on it and leave for no fucking reason and never come back. Buncha fucking meatheaded idiots who fucking gave up shit they got in less then Two years were as some people barely get it in a lifetime!), Jeff Hardy (It pains me to say this but...Fucking eh this guy is a god damn idiot. He is another case of being on top of the world and what happens? He leaves the WWE, gets caught with fucking leagues of drugs and goes to TNA for no damn reason. I dont doubt him being a nice guy once so ever, but god damn is this man dumber then fuck), amongst others I could think of and rant about but...I wont bore people with that.

As for the last topic...Yeah I agree with what DMD said and such, at least with WWE and all, cant comment on anything else as I dont really watch any other wrestling as stated (Wish WCW didnt go down the shitter ._.).

Oh man, how could I forget Ricky Steamboat? His matches with Machoman and Flair are considered some of the best of all time, Turtle.

As far as wrestling other than WWE I'd suggest giving TNA a chance. The X division is a lot like the cruiser weight division of WCW haydays, and while they're not as well know they got a lot of good young talent in the company.

Also, ROH is getting it's own tv deal in I think Sept with Fox, if you check your local listings . It's gonna be Midnight on Sundays here, wich is a time slot of death but still...

I really wish WWE would drop the PG and put it up to a PG-13 rating. Right now it's more like G and almost as corney as the eighties Rock and Wrestling era. They don't have to go back to the Attitude Era with cursing and slutty women story arcs, but I wouldn't mind seeing a little blood every now and then, and some vicious beatdowns like the old days.

I also really wish they would shine the spotlight around a little more. Every week it seems like the shows RAW and Smackdown center around the same 4-6 guys. And any more the only titles that matter are the World and WWE heavyweight,  they almost ignore the Intercontinetal,  Us , and Tag titles, and we don't even have a Hardcore or Crusier Weight champ anymore.

Ya, he was awesome (and still is if he can wrestle like he did at Wrestlemania a few years ago).

Like I said though, I TRIED watching TNA, honestly and...I dont know why but when I looked at it for more then Five seconds it looked Faker then WWE, I didnt like that and...Honestly, there arent many wrestlers there that interest me.

As for ROH, I already stated I respect it and such, butttttt....I dont know, most fans of ROH seem to be like the Old School ECW fans; assholes to outsiders (for the most part) and know it alls, that and After Bryan Danielson left, I dont know many names their Either @_@...

As ofr the PG thing, yeah I know it's a bitch and limits things, but honestly it's not THAT bad, plus even though I'm not the biggest business man, WWE did it to get kids into wrestling and...I respect that as it's a good marketing ploy and can get younger people into WWE/Wrestling in general, which is ALWAYS a good thing.

Finally, I know what you mean, but I dont really Watch RAW anymore and Smackdown...It's odd, they shine the spotlight on the same guys, but for me they do it GOOD on Smackdown while RAW is just an unorganized Orgy of Bullshittery (aside from CM Punk of course). Smackdown despite shining on some of the same ol' guys is actually GOOD for wreslting, I usually enjoy eighty percent of the matches on their and Christian being World Champ (even though I wish he was faced as THAT guy deserves to be applauded at) is a plus to me. I agree though, the lower tier titles could get more spotlights, and it'd be nice to see those two titles come back, though...I dont know, honestly so long as Smackdown is good (Daniel Bryan FTW with his brief case) and such, WWE is fine to me.

Anyone watch the TNA Hardcore Justice pfv? I saw the results on line and can't say I'm surprised by any of it .
I thought Mexican America might make a big power play and take at least one if not both tag team belts, but they came up 0 for 2. I also hoped for a clean ending to the Sting/Angle heavyweight match but alas it was not meant to be either.

TNA has some great talent, and they have some of the best matches you'll ever see. Unfortuantly, thier outside the ring sutff is lacking. Hogan, Bishoff, and Russo have as much creative ability as a brain damaged chimp. They're stuck in the 80-90s and NWO/WCW mindset as far as storylines and angles go, and if something doesn't change soon TNA is gonna end up just like WCW at thier hands.

Well, after watching Raw last night I think I and probably everyone else knows where the story is headed at Summerslam this Sunday. HHH is gonna end up pedigreeing both Punk and Cena and taking both belts, making himself the one champ. Or something along those lines, it looks to me like . He almost come out and told us this was what he was up to when he told Cena

"Whatever happens in that match will be what I want to happen in that match."

And then at the end of the show after the contract signing we had the "accidental" bump between Cena and HHH, then the staredown between him and Punk.

I think the best alternative we could hope for is HHH and Cena to screw Punk, and we get the long speculated, long overdue heel turn for Cena at least, but I doubt that because I believe Cena could drown kittens in the middle of the ring and half or better of the auidence would still root him on.....

I suspect either and or both Del Rio and Daniels to be unsucessful in cashing in the Money in the Bank contracts for a change. Everyone who's used them in the past has won, it makes sense sooner or later that streak has to end. And neither of these guys are ready to be the big name for either show, in my opinion.

I will say this, if there's any good news in wrestling this week, it's both WWE and TNA released a lot of front office creative personel, such as writers and bookers according to reports. Both companies could use a little fresh blood in that department.

On the downside, there's been a lot of injuries and WWE in paticular released a lot of good undercard level in ring talent that never got a decent chance there.

Meh, I'm hoping at least Daniels doesnt, I like him honestly, think he's a good worker and if you've heard of his outside stuff from ROH/over seas...He's REALLY good.

So long as it was crappy personal and such good...And yeah I heard about that in WWE, shame but it usually happens annualy so what can ya expect?

In ring, Daniels is golden. On a mic he's like listening to nails on chalkboards. He and Del Rio both need to work on better move sets before they're ready for the big matches and main events that being champ brings with it. I can only take so many arm breakers or Label locks . Right now, neither is all that exciting. I say give them another 6 months to a year to polish themselves up inside and outside the ring and they'll be ready.

You know, I don't really watch wrestling a lot. Especially not the women's division.

But I found Gail Kim to be really talented and attractive, and I heard that she was unhappy with management in the WWE and then she did this (eliminated herself) during some match to test to see if anybody was even paying attention to the women's division. She was told to be eliminated in under a minute, apparently. She quit the WWE, but is being held to her contract apparently.

So then I just wanted to look up some more about her because I was intrigued by this whole situation.

And I thought this match was incredible. I can't believe they put women in cages. But damn, they really can wrestle.

Yeah, Kim was really good honestly (I admit I'm not INTO Womens but I have seen quite a few good matches over the years) but...WWE is sorta crap when it comes to Womens and tag teams, so I cant blame her for being unhappy, especially when she's had better matches elsewhere that Meant something.

Unfortuantly, Gail tends to burn bridges  when she leaves companies. I'm not sure there's still a spot waiting for her in TNA now, after she ditched it to return to the WWE and with all the other Knockouts they currently have on the roster. Not saying the other women are better than her, but she's kind of getting a reputation as a "If I can't be the champ or number one contender why am I even in the ring? attitude, or reputation for that attitude anyway.
