A few minutes ago, I started getting ads that kept going "CONGRATULATIONS. YOU WON." and after those stopped, I started getting ads that tried to play a whole lot of audio without a whole lot of time to play it in.
I figure I can't be the only person getting, and being irritated by, these ads, and Web usually prunes them out as soon as somebody brings to his attention that they do that, so I'm starting this thread to keep track of the URLs used (so he can figure out which ads do the noise).

I just got one for Dragon Naturally Speaking that directed me to Google.com when I opened it in a new tab. Clicked it regularly after that to try to get to where it really goes, but it's not directed me elsewhere yet. Awkward.

I got the "Congradulations you win just for being on this site at X time" for a while there about two weeks ago but haven't seen it recently. Never had any audio, just flashing lights and "CLICK HERE"

But no, seriously, this happens on a lot of sites - ███████████████. Just get a █████ and ██████████████ program. Fixes ███ of the problem; what few manage to ██████████, you can simply add to the "████████." Though, if Web can get rid of them: yesplzkthxbai.

Honestly the only reason I have it off on this site, ath, is to help webby with revenue. No, I don't donate, but I guess not disabling all ads on my end at least helps...sort of?

http://internetrewardhut.com/content/yt/?cid=LG100.yt is the one or one of the ones that does the CONGRATULATIONS, YOU WON. also by using a pop-up/ad blocker, you deprive the site of some ad revenue, which is a shame. I make it a point to click ads at least once per new ad I see. :p

I stopped getting them about a week ago (the ads with sound, that is).
So far as malware is concerned, I have ubuntu. So I suppose I don't have to worry about that as much.
