Did it for the funzies? Perhaps. But you were also completely serious. I don't see any hint of funzies at the start of the thread.

See what I mean about people trolling shit to death? Even worse is if you're taking this that seriously.  Sad

..back on topic with less circular argumentative logic approaching.

Why were the traits that are listed chosen to begin with? Initially I remember there was a lot of confusion by what some of the traits stood for and how they could even be valued to any extent. Was just curious if its some personal preference or if it was influenced by some other chart.

Well the traits I chose were supposed to reflect different aspects of roleplay in some aspects. Like the first few stats are just there to illustrate the basic attributes of the character. Their fairly typical attributes you would see in an RPG and would theorhetically encompass more than combat in what they represent. They seem fairly self explanatory.

The second stats are more combat oriented though once against not necessarily limited to combat. I pretty much chose them cause I figured they were the basic factors that influence combat but since this thing is not set in stone anyway they are a bit vague to avoid going into "absolutes" and some like "offense" and "defense" for instance are based on what I interpret coupled with a players own thoughts to be what they excel at,  for example avoiding damage, dealing damage or keeping opponents on the defensive through aggression.

As for the valuing like I said this isnt meant to be taken as fact, but I just figured why not come up with a scale thats reasonably modest in numbers to keep things more simple and just hypothesize that if one theorhetically wanted to encompass the minimum to maximum amount of possible aptitude one could have for different attributes we could scale them relative to each others characters. Its not like im trying to use trig or something to figure this shit out man, I admit its arbitrary but like I said people can take it anyway they want it, I do think it does show potential as an extremely generalized rule of thumb in regards to character balance but thats up to people to decide for themselves.

Sorry for the long winded explnation i just wanted to be thorough.
