Haven't been hyped for Soul Calibur since I was a kid. I hate 3D fighters with all the juggling bullshit and 100+ otg options. Ezio looks cool, though, but Soul Calibur always has the amazing guest characters.

I haven't really liked the Soul Calibre series, except for its humble beginnings as Soul Edge/Blade, which I loved and adored, and Soul Calibur 3 which is pretty awesome to be honest.
But other than that, the guest characters annoy me quite a bit. They break the mood of the game massively, and they're needlessly shoehorned in just to go 'OMG LOOK EXCLUSIVE CAMEOS PLEASE BUY US IT'S KINDA LIKE SMASH BROS BUT YOU KNOW WE DON'T JUST HAVE NINTENDO CHARACTERS'

For sure, bro. Don't even get me started - the design is visionary. I hear some of his alternate clothing sets are pretty wild, and I read somewhere that his Up - Up - B combo involves some form of grotesque sexual harassment. |

The creation mode is really, really fun to use and the level of detail in how you can change colors and place miscellaneous items makes for a lot of cool characters. Here's some Marvel-themed created characters I made.   |

okay crapness of Soul Calibur series aside, those are some pretty amazing created characters  Why don't namco just release a game with no premade characters you can play as from the start, but a fuckton of character parts right from the get go? A randomly generated story mode each and every time you play through the 'story' mode, the ability to fight the game's own characters, and unlock them through play so you can play as them. Maybe they'd have their own stories but you'd have to earn playing them by fighting them with your own custom character from the start Everyone knows the Character Creation is the best part of the Soul Calibur games these days anyway. |

My online play time is 12 minutes. My offline play time is 33 hours. So yes. You are correct. |

I would like it known that Nightmare in Arcade mode (on any difficulty) is the CHEAPEST FUCKING CHARACTER EVER.
Wasn't he slow at one point in the series? Did they just go, "Hey, lets take this cheap ass character who's slow..and make him faster!"

Yeap. I find it cheap he can do swift counter attacks that you can't block. I gave in and became a button masher for an hour and spammed moves, since the CPU found it a-o.k. to spam power moves. SO PISSED. D:<
