Dracula has died, and now the vampiric throne is up for grabs!
NOW RECRUITING!!! WEREWOLVES AND HUMANS NEEDED AS WELL!!!
This roleplay takes place in the mid-1800s, within the classic setting of Victorian Europe. Lord Vlad Dracula has been the lord of the vampires for as long as any one vampire can remember, and recently he has passed on. Considering Vampires immortality, this can only mean the Lord of Darkness had been eradicated by a potential  successor… but who? This is where the story picks up, the feud between three covens (vampire clans) vying for their leader to command rule over all vampire kind.

There are three covens, the Tepes Coven, the Bathory Coven, and the Dracul Coven.

We need an Elizabeth Bathory and Demetri Tepes, but we accept any characters as long as they fit setting standards.

Tepes Coven
he Tepes Coven is the coven which would have immediately reigned in power had Dracula been alive during his passing of power, however due to the circumstances, the other two coven challenged the Tepes power.  The Tepes Coven’s philosophy is to value tradition. Their leader is Lord Dracula first-born son Alastor Tepes, who believes that humans and vampires need to coexist in secrecy, that vampires may feed off humans but should not impede human progress. They currently reside in Fort Tepes, beyond the Carpathian Forest not far from Castlevania (Dracula’s Castle).

Bathory Coven
The Bathory Coven is the second coven of vampires. This coven is ruled by Countess Elizabeth Bathory, Lord Dracula’s second child, and his only daughter. The Bathory Coven’s primary philosophy is to value progress and domination, they believe that humans should live in service to vampires who should likewise rule them. The Bathory Coven not only feeds on humans, but they also like to bathe in human blood. This coven resides in Bathory Manor, a huge, lavish accommodation for many within the Carpathian Mountains.

Dracul Coven
The Dracul Coven is the third and final vampire coven. This coven is ruled by Dracula’s second son, Demetri Tepes the youngest of Dracula’s children. Demtri started this coven because he was dissatisfied with Alastor’s Coven, and did not agree with Elizabeth’s. Demetri started the coven because he believes that, when he seats power, vampire kind should militarise and form an independent nation, a Principality, in which all vampires would reside. The Dracul Coven resides in the Dracul Estate, Lord Dracula’s private residence outside of Castlevania, which is beyond the Carpathian Forest opposite of Fort Tepes.

Lycans
The Lycans are werewolves. They have always long been the enemies of vampires, due to competing for the same source of sustenance: humans. Werewolves represent a fourth force of power within this battle for power, because Lord Dracula held sway over the werewolves, being the Lord of their primary residence. Now that he is gone, the werewolves would like to seize the opportunity and take lordship of the night realms away from vampires, and become the primary force in the night. Their leader is currently unknown. The Werewolves reside in secret, often dipping into the shadows of the Carpathian Forest.

The Townsfolk
In the region of Transylvania, there are many small villages, but a fairly large town not half a mile from the Carpathian Forest is a town also known as Transylvania, where the majority of the region’s human population resides. The townsfolk may not be gifted supernaturally (except for the occasional mystic or two), but that does not mean they are helpless. When banded together, humans can be a powerful force to reckon with, with mighty will and un-ending courage. In this situation, the townsfolk simply try their best to survive and minimize casualty.
